An ink drawing on paper titled Mt. Wapta, Emerald Lake by artist Joan Thompson (20th century), created in 1979. This sketched landscape features the Wapta Mountain and Emerald Lake, located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, British Columbia, Canada. The work is signed with a ‘T’ and dated by hand to the lower right corner. To the verso is an acrylic and ink sketch on paper of the same scenery; titled and dated ‘Mt. Wapta, Emerald Lake 7/83’. There is an informational label adhered to the lower right corner of the glass. A handwritten inscription with the artist’s name, title, and date are included to the verso. Presented under glass, beneath white painted matting, and housed in a wood frame with a white painted finish.
