Item Details
A mid 19th century English bone china tea service. This pattern has a bulbous body with cartouche molded detail. Each piece is accented with a kicked handle, green botanical motifs, and gilt trim. The teapot features a spout molded with a raised foliate motif, finished with gilt swirls. The group includes a teapot, lidded sugar bowl, creamer, waste bowl, eight wide teacups, nine coffee cups, twelve saucers, and two cake plates. The waste bowl served as a receptacle for loose tea leaves.
