Handwoven Oltenian Kilim Area Rug

Item Details

A hand woven wool Oltenian kilim area rug. The rug features a pixelated floral design to the center, in shades of shortbread, sepia, sapphire blue, blush, honey and ivory on a crimson background. Each corner of the field presents a complimenting floral display. Framing the field is an unresolved border of repeating rose blossoms variably grounded in hues of brown and black. The inner borders have a sawtooth pattern with a running dog pattern to the outer rim. The rug finishes with overcast selvedges and natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
