A hand-knotted Turkish Oushak Area Rug. This large area rug has a commanding central eight star medallion of lotus, lily and peony designs. It is rendered in shades of moss green, sapphire blue, yellow, cerulean blue, brick, peach and caramel, framed in floral rosettes. Additional diamond pendants accent the peach colored field and bands of tulips run along both the long and short verge. The primary borders features Konya theme, hooked designs and leaf and blossom patterns while the minor borders include barber pole and florets. The rug finishes with double overcast selvedges and long knotted fringe is present at both ends. Unlabeled.
