A vintage National Biscuit Company wood and metal store bin. This piece comprises a dark stained veneer covered wooden box with metal lining around the edges adjoining the hinged metal lid which features a green printed plastic label reading ‘A product of National Biscuit Company’ with a red ‘NBC’ logo and a large square glass window. The metal lining on the box has an embossed label which reads ‘Property of National Biscuit Company ’Uneeda Bakers’ Patented March 13, 1923’. This box would have been used at the store to hold biscuits/crackers, which were sold by the scoop.
