Item Details
In Plate
A pair of bookplates by the infamous Earl Mashawn Washington (born 1968) best known for attempting to pass off famous works by other artists as his own by carving his own plates and pencil signing them with his name. These bookplates depict iconic Art Deco Rockwell Kent works, one depicts a nude man on a rope ladder (after The Mast) and the second depicts a man emerging from water with a cloud-filled background. Each print is signed in pencil beneath the lower margin and they are taped to Masonite with a black mat with clear film paneled front.
