A color lithograph on paper designed by very well-listed American abstract artist Alexander Calder (1898 – 1976). The print was published in Stabiles: Derriere le Miroir #141 in 1963. The prints in this folio depicted Calder’s Stabiles sculptures. This print features a spider like shape comprised of long shapes in red, yellow and black with thick black outlines, and is unsigned. It is presented behind a black mat, under glass, in a black wood composite frame, ready to hang with a wire. A silver tone plaque engraved with the artist’s name is mounted to the base of the frame.
Condition
- vertical crease to center of print. Several small nicks to frame.
