A 20th century Mexican hand painted terra cotta jar. The jar has a rounded form, a blue zigzag painted border to the top, the body decorated with oversized green yucca plants, with an outlined figure carrying a large curved and ribbed leaf form, with the forms set upon a pale green base plane and terra cotta sky background. The jar is marked to the verso ‘Mexico’ in raised text.
