1890s Stollwerck Mechanical Candy Dispenser Bank and Other Toys
Item Details
A collection of four vintage and antique mechanical toys. This collection features a tin coin bank candy dispenser produced circa the 1880s–1890s by the Stollwerck Bros. chocolate company of Cologne, Germany; this miniature vending machine is decorated in red, blue and gold tone with hand shadow motifs and the text ‘Stollwerck’, ‘Put one cent in the slot and pull the handle.’ and ‘A Cent saved is a Cent earned.’ This collection also includes a 1930s-era Kiddie Kamera film viewer by the Allied Manufacturing Company of Chicago, a wheeled tin litho toy depicting a circus elephant towing three clowns, and a painted wood flipping acrobat toy.
