1972 Artist's Proof Lithograph on Paper of Abstract Yellow Composition

A 1972 artist’s proof lithograph print on paper. The abstract work depicts a deep yellow field, accented with a lighter yellow sphere and angled tapered line to the center of the composition. The print is signed and dated in pencil to the lower right, appearing to read ‘Ed Gysin 72’; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. It is matted in muted purple and presented under glass in a black wooden and metal frame, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- mild discoloration to image; wrinkling to paper ground; discoloration to mat; clouding to back of glass; minor wear to frame, with loose piece along top; tears to frame backing, with stains along lower edge.
