U.S. Navy M69F Transport Pilot Leather Coat with Shearling Collar

A men’s vintage U.S. Navy M69F Transport Pilot Aircraft leather coat made by Gordon & Ferguson Co. featuring a broad brown shearling collar, brass button closures with anchor motifs, a belted waist, slash pockets and a mohair half lining. It is labeled to the interior by the manufacturer and lightly stamped ‘USN’ to the under side of the collar.

The M-69F was used by Navy Transport pilots during World War II on long hauls runs across the Atlantic and on submarine patrols. The coat was also popular among middle and senior officers at sea.
