A Karastan Sarouk wool carpet runner. This American-made rug features Sarouk-style floral and vasiform motifs along with floral sprays and floral blossoms over a cranberry field. The design elements are rendered in a bright palette of cranberry, marigold, indigo, sapphire blue, pear green and pink. Framing the rug are compound borders, including a main border densely populated in a herati pattern over indigo. The rug finishes with over-stitched edges and applied ivory fringe at each end. it is labeled to the verso ‘Karastan 100% wool pile of imported wool fiber Red Sarouk’.
