Antique Burgess & Leigh "Kensington" Tureen 1875

Item Details

An antique Burgess & Leigh tureen in the Kensington pattern. This piece is decorated in tones of rusts and blacks with bands of figural motifs accented with scrolled and acanthus leaves. It has a domed, fitted lid adorned with a pointed finial, two side ring shaped handles, and four cabriole legs. It is marked to the underside with a registry mark dating this piece October 10, 1875.

Condition

- some of the glaze has worn off on the handles, some crazing present as well.
