Chinese Enameled Jewelry Casket

Item Details

A vintage Chinese enameled jewelry casket. The rectangular box is made of a technique similar to cloisonne which removes the copper backing. A vibrant village scene is depicted on the lid and the sides have floral and symbols on an aqua background. The box is framed in brass and opens to a red fabric interior. The piece is marked ‘Made in China’ to the bottom.

- significant tarnishing, finish wear, marks, interior fabric pulling away from side.
