20th Century Mexican Hand Decorated Terra Cotta Pottery
Item Details
A selection of two pieces of 20th century Mexican hand decorated terra cotta pottery. One piece is a small pitcher in a rich burnished terra cotta finish with lively foliate design in cream and umber embellishing the underside of the broad spout and front of the body, with a banded design to the top and curved handle. The second piece is an oval dish in light terra cotta with recessed lip, decorated with cream and dark umber bands and to the inside center, a stylized wheat sheaf, also in cream and dark umber. Pitcher is marked ‘Made in Mexico’; dish is unmarked.
