1925 Rookwood Art Pottery Peacock Bookends
Item Details
A matching pair of Rookwood art pottery peacock bookends in a yellow ochre matte glaze. These bookends feature a peacock with tail feathers unfurled, standing atop a round tiered dais with columned fence to the back. Designed by William Purcell McDonald, the bookends are hallmarked to their base with the traditional Rookwood flame mark, mold number 2445 and Roman numeral date XXV (1925).
