Vintage Bogota, Columbia 900 Silver Ash Receivers with 10 and 50 Centavos
Item Details
A pair of handcrafted 900 silver ash receivers with Columbian centavos. These ash receivers feature round 900 silver wells with decorative handles that bear the Bogota, Columbia coat of arms. The center of the wells house inlaid Columbian 50 centavos from 1918 and 1921, each featuring the Columbian coat of arms to the obverse with the profile of Simon Bolivar to the reverse. The rims are accented by 10 centavos from 1942 and one from 1940, each molded into a curved holder for placing a cigarette. The coins are marked ‘900’ but tested as sterling silver. The handles are marked ‘0900’ and tested as such. The total approximate weight is 3.075 ozt.
