Item Details
An oil pastel drawing on paper of a canal scene. This Impressionist style drawing depicts a bustling body of water filled with various gondolas and boats, which approach a clustered, European townscape to the distance. The work is composed of truncated marks layered on top of each other. To the lower left corner of the composition is a handwritten artist signature appearing to read ‘Reites’. This drawing is presented under glass beneath layered matting in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- some discolored spots on linen mat liner; light edge wear to frame.
