A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palate of mocha, ruby, rose, celadon, Turkish blue, terracotta and cream. It begins with a pendant medallion grounded in Turkish blue, ruby, and terracotta, the medallion resting on a mocha field filled with flowering vines and clusters of flowers. Framing the field is a single, narrow border grounded in cream, featuring a meander pattern. The rug has overcast selvedges and short cotton warp fringe. It is tagged to the underside ‘Made in Iran’.
