A signed original oil landscape painting by J. Silvana (German, 1930-). This landscape painting depicts a wide creek with trees on either side decked in autumn foliage. The palette is steel blue, shades of gray, shades of orange, and shades of brown. This oil is signed to the lower right in black paint. It is presented beneath a cream linen liner and housed in a gold tone wood frame enhanced with short oval cuts and silver and black paint dabs that complement the picture field’s palette. The painting includes a short biography and wire for hanging on the verso. From the biography: J. Silvana was born in 1930 in Tegernese, Germany. He attended the Munich Academy of Fine Arts and had exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Spain. He traveled throughout France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Austria, Yugoslavia, and Holland painting the landscapes for which he was noted.
Condition
The frame has slight separation at the corners.
