A pair of lithographs after Berthe Morisot’s (1841-1895) La Leçon de Dessin (The Drawing Lesson) and Aristide Maillol’s (1861-1944) Nude on Sofa. Maillol’s rendering depicts a nude woman reclining with one foot propped up in front of her, an inplate monogram reading ‘M’ to its lower left, while the unsigned work after Morisot features a woman and a young woman, supposedly the artist and her own daughter. Both prints are matted under glass in slim frames with gold tone detailing and wires to their versos along with labels noting the titles and artist’s names.
Condition
- mild discoloration to images; moderate wear to both frames.
