Evelyn Liner Original Reverse Painting on Plexiglass "Colors Count"

Item Details

A 1972 original reverse acrylic painting on plexiglass titled Colors Count by contemporary Cincinnati artist Evelyn L. Liner. The painting features a non-objective composition created through varying interlocking geometric shapes, each rendered in a clear vibrant hue and outlined in gray. The work is signed and dated in black to the upper right corner and is signed, titled and dated in graphite to the verso. It is presented in a white lucite frame and is ready to hang with two plastic sawtooth brackets. The verso is coated with a treated paper for protection.

Evelyn L. Liner received her artistic training from the University of Cincinnati. Liner typically creates reverse glass paintings, rendered in vibrant colors. Her work has been accepted into a number of juried shows including the Bluegrass Open in Louisville, Kentucky, Summerfair, Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Dayton Museum Gallery Show. Along with juried shows, Liner’s work has been on display at several Cincinnati area institutions such as: Closson’s Gallery; Miller Gallery; and Malton Gallery.
