Oil Painting on Board Depicting Gemsbok Gazelle
Item Details
An original oil painting on board depicting a Gemsbok Gazelle. This piece showcases a fine specimen of the Oryx genus; a species of large antelope, weighing upwards of 400 pounds and native to arid regions of Southern Africa; which can be observed on the Namibian coat of arms. This creature displays a brownish-grey coat with a distinctive black stripe through the midline. Both male and female Gemsboks have long straight horns for which they are widely hunted. This original work renders the creature in a dark vignette on a soft yellow ground. It is unsigned and unframed.
