Item Details
An original signed Cubist style oil on canvas by listed artist Monaco. The work is rendered in rich shades of black, off white, yellow and red, with energetic brushwork and an impasto application of paint. The piece depicts an abstract form, in a amorphous outline surrounded by black, and with the interior composed of black vertical lines to the top half, with elongated red shapes accented with dimensional orbs in red and yellow, and with the bottom half designed in a black and red grid with two red rectangles and four dimensional orbs. The painting is signed to the lower right and presented in a light wood frame. The piece is wired to the verso for wall hanging.
