A color linoleum cut titled Picador and Matador designed by Pablo Picasso (Spain/France, 1881 – 1973), printed in the First Edition of Pablo Picasso Linoleum Cuts Bacchanals, Women, Bulls & Bullfighters, published by Harry N. Abrams, Inc. in 1962. Produced late in Picasso’s career, this colorful abstract image is rendered in black, taupe and tan and portrays the picador standing by his horse beside the matador before the action of the bullfight. The image is printed on heavy stock and is matted and presented under glass in a bronze toned wooden frame.
