Signed Original Paper Relief Sculpture in Shadowbox Frame
Item Details
Papier-mâché
An original 1989 cut paper relief sculpture by an artist named ‘Allen’. The work features paper, in a pale neutral palette, that has been cut and engineered into a three-dimensional scene. A skyscraper occupies the center of the composition, with tendrils that flow outward leading to other scenes from the business world. Clockwise from the upper right these include two men in suits, holding briefcases and shaking hands, a stack of books and paper, a domed and columned building, a telephone, an office building and a computer. These objects rest atop a world map, also created from cut paper. The work is signed and dated in ink to the center of the right side. Presented behind a pale gray mat, under glass in a stained wood shadow box frame. It is ready to hang with two metal d-ring hooks.
