Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Kurdish wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of slate, ivory, scarlet, pink, sky blue, peacock green, and sepia. The charcoal colored field begins with a pole of nine hooked diamond medallions, and populated with an abundance of rosette motifs. Framing the field is a main double cross style border with a pair of Hamadan guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and an extremely short ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
