Chinese Black Lacquer Screen

Item Details

A Chinese black lacquer screen having four, hinged panels decorated on both sides with a black lacquered ground and rising on short, cut legs with brass-plated caps. One side features flowering branches with leaves, several colorful birds, and rocks against the black lacquered ground. The screen has a repeating framed red and green design along the edges. The other side features a calmer, more monochromatic scene with bamboo and cranes.
