Brass

A framed brass relief icon of Madonna and Child. The work depicts Mary, dressed in robes, holding the baby Jesus, with an inscription in Latin across the lower edge. The brass plaque has a plaster backing and is housed in a stained wood frame with a gothic arch shaped opening, and is ready to hang with a wire. The letters ’H.W. U.Y.W.A. are incised into the plaster backing.

- accretion throughout. Wear to finish of brass and frame.
