Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool room size rug. This ornately designed rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, cream, indigo, mocha, rose, mint, rust, peacock green, and sepia. The cranberry field begins with a large floral themed round pendant medallion, with elaborate coordinating spandrels, and featuring an all-over Shah Abbasi pattern. Framing the field is a flower filled herati pattern, along with six various floral meander guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and an ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
