A hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of cherry red, midnight blue, cream, emerald, cream, sky blue, ocher, and yellow. The rug features a pointed circular medallion on a vibrant red field patterned with lancet leaves and sprays of flowers. It is framed with herati motif and bracketed floral borders. Finished with overcast edges and short fringe to either end.
