A signed etching on paper titled Dick Sanders Farm by listed American artist and educator Herbert Fink (1921-2006), created in 1976. This work features a quiet winterscape with a snow-covered ground, a few large prominent trees in the foreground, and a forest of barren trees in the the background. The work is signed and dated by hand in graphite to the lower right margin; it is titled to the lower left margin. It is presented under glass, double-matted with off-white and blue mats, and housed in a brown wood frame.
Known for his drawings and prints, Herbert Lewis Fink received his B.F.A. at the Rhode Island School of Design and his M.F.A. from Yale University. He continued his art training at the Art Students League in New York with Arshile Gorky, John Frazier, and Gabor Peterdi, among others. His work has been collected by numerous institutions including the Baltimore Museum of Art; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and the Art Institute of Chicago, to name a few.
