A hand hooked Chinese wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of of green hues, rose, gold, plum, and ivory. The field features an over abundance of foliage with sparsely placed blooms against a plum colored ground. Framing the field is a cartouche and medallion patterned main border with minor striped borders. Finishing the rug is a cotton binding and backing, as well as a label to the underside.
