Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, cranberry, ivory, rose, sepia, taupe, slate blue, and clementine. The indigo colored field features an all-over herati pattern, as well as floral patterned spandrels with a sawtooth edge. Framing the field is a main meandering rosette and leaf patterned border along with a pair of running water guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a short ivory warp fringe to the ends. Labeled to the underside.
