A vintage handwoven North African wool and jute area rug. This tribal rug features a natural jute foundation, and rendered in a palette of madder red, indigo, ivory, sepia, and camel. The predominately madder red colored field features horizontal stripes of geometric motifs including diamonds, ram’s horn, running dog, and other symbolic motifs. Finishing the rug are quadruple checkered overcast selvedges and fringed ends. Unlabeled.
