Two hand-colored lithographs after engravings after drawings by listed French artist Madeleine Basseporte (1701 – 1780). The first depicts a single bunch of purple grapes hanging a vine that crosses the upper edge of the composition. The lower right corner is filled with small detailed studies of various parts of the plant. The second depicts a lemon with a blue ribbon curling through the composition. and a cross section of a lemon to the lower left. The title and the names of the original artist and engraver are printed across the lower margin of each print. Both are presented behind a gray mat with gold tone and blue liners, under glass, in a wood frame with cast embellishments and a gold tone finish, and are ready to hang with a wire.
