An antique KPM porcelain commemorative Kaiser Wilhelm II teacup. This antique Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur porcelain cup features a Kaiser Wilhelm II commemorative Iron Cross with a gilt garland border and gray ground. The ornate scroll handle also features gilt trim. The cup rests on three gilt feet and is marked to the bottom ’ KPM’ with the red orb and blue scepter mark for Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur, along with a pair of Iron Crosses, one being very faint, in black and the number 125/579.

Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (Royal Porcelain Factory) was founded in Berlin in 1763 by the Prussian King Frederick II ‘The Great’, who by his own admission was his own best customer. The company survived the demise of the monarchy in 1918 and the destruction of its primary manufactory in 1943, continuing in service to this day.
