An open edition offset poster on cream Speckletone paper titled Make Art Not War, designed and signed in pencil by well-listed and world-renowned contemporary street artist Shepard Fairey (South Carolina/California; born 1970), printed in 2017. The work depicts a woman with flowers in her hair, encircled with a rose garland and paintbrushes on either side of a blooming lotus. The artist’s OBEY emblem, comprised of a star superimposed with an image of the late famed actor and wrestler André the Giant (France, 1946 – 1993), sits below the woman. The words Make Art Not War surround the image in white against a red background. Artist signature is signed and dated to the lower right margin. This work is unframed, awaiting presentation of choice.
