Elbert Hubbard Signed "Little Journeys" 1907

A signed hardcover copy of Elbert Hubbard’s classic travel memoir, Little Journeys to the Homes of Good Men and Great, published 1907 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons. Hubbard was a leading figure in the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century, and founded the artisan community known as the Roycrofters in upstate New York. He died in the sinking of the Lusitania during the First World War. This copy is signed to the front flyleaf by Hubbard with a personal dedication; the dedication is dated March 22, 1915, less than two months before Hubbard’s death on May 7, 1915. This volume is bound in a half-felted hardcover with a paneled spine, gilded top page edges, and deckle front and bottom page edges.
