An antique George III mahogany chest of drawers with a brushing slide, circa 1780. The chest features a rectangular top overhanging a case with a felt-lined brushing slide and four stacked, graduated drawers, each with hand-cut dovetail joints, cockbeaded fronts, brass swan neck pulls, and escutcheons. The chest, which has an unfinished plank back, rises on bracket feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
