Pastel on paper

A circa 1960s pastel drawing on paper by artist J. Generales. The piece depicts three figures walking through a large arched stone passageway toward blue skies and a white building ahead. The work is signed in purple pastel to the lower right, with a written inscription with the artist’s name to the frame backing. It is presented under glass in a cream wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- to fair; scratch to composition through woman’s dress; slight toning and discoloration to image; scuffing, nicks and surface wear throughout frame; flaking paint to frame; tears to backing paper.
