Antique Our Lady of Sorrows Wooden Santos Figure

Item Details

An antique carved wood and painted gesso Santos figure of the Our Lady of Sorrows. The Virgin Mary appears with hinged forearms standing upon a stepped, octagonal base. The original costume is no longer intact.

Condition

- paint and gesso loss throughout; one shoulder joint is loose and the other stationary; large wood chip to the verso; scratches and marks present throughout.
