An original monotype print on paper Light Lane by American artist George Cramer (1938-2004). This abstract print is composed of several organic shapes and patterns in brilliant jewel-toned colors. This print is signed and titled by hand in graphite to the lower margin. It is presented mounted on white backing, behind glass, and in a natural wood frame. The verso of this piece is equipped with hanging hardware.
Cramer was an educator and artist known for his early work involving art and technology, specifically in the area of 3-D imagery. His work has been displayed at Art Institute of Chicago, the Elvehjem Museum of Art in Madison, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the Wustum Museum of Fine Art in Racine, and Gallery Eude in Barcelona, Spain. The artist was a professor at the University of Wisconsin from 1981 until the end of his life.
