An early to mid 20th-century oil painting on canvas board by artist G.O. Caesar. The piece depicts a vertically-oriented tropical landscape scene, with a blue palm-lined lagoon set under a covering of colorful twilight skies and soft clouds. The work is signed in cream paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a vintage wooden frame with twisted column accents, woven liner and gold tone fillet.
Condition
- slight warping to canvas board; discoloration, marks, stains, surface wear and scuffing to surface of painting; large pieces missing to frame column at lower right and foot at lower left; surface wear, nicks and scuffing to frame; stains and wear to board verso; no backing paper present.
