A Chinese woodblock print on paper. The piece depicts a genre scene with two figures in colorful attire preparing to fight, as several robed female figures watch and attempt to intervene. The unsigned print is embellished with hand-painted accents, and rendered in a vibrant palette of blue, red, green, pink, orange and yellow hues. It is matted in dusty rose and presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- nicks, chips, edge wear and scratching to frame; staining, tears and discoloration to frame’s backing paper.
