A mixed media painting of an abstract composition by American artist Donald Werner (1929 – 2010). This Abstract Expressionist style painting depicts a pooling of magenta, cobalt blue and beige, which seem to resemble mountain peaks. They are reinforced with drawn pastel marks. To the lower left corner of the composition is a graphite artist signature, dated 1988. The painting is presented under glass in a stained wooden frame.

Condition

- light edge wear to frame; wood frame is beginning to separate at the corners; the hanging wire to the verso has pulled free from the wood frame and can’t be used to hang artwork.
