A late 20th-century oil painting on canvas by Corbeau. The piece depicts an overcast Post Impressionist-inspired European village scene, with a narrow street lined with quaint buildings and colorful flowers under twilight skies. The work is signed in brown ink to the lower left, appearing to read ‘Corbeau’. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame fitted with sawtooth hanging hardware to the verso.

- toning and discoloration to image; surface wear and craquelure to surface, with media loss to red paint at center right and brown paint at lower left; scuffing across lower portion of painting with scattered media loss throughout; toning and foxing to canvas verso; edge wear, nicks and scratches to frame; no backing paper present; work is not relined; dust and accretion present throughout.
