A copy oil on canvas painting by B.F. Laframboise after J.F. Herring titled Pharaoh’s Horses, created in 1910. This painting depicts three horses rendered in profile their manes flowing in the wind. They are executed with fine details such as wide brown eyes, visible musculature and veins visible on face. They are rendered against choppy seas and a grey sky creating contrast against the white of the horses. This work is signed and dated in red to the lower right corner. This piece is presented unframed.

Condition

-wear to edges and corners of canvas; there is a small hole in the canvas to the upper left; the canvas is loose and wrinkled at the upper right corner and needs to be re-stretched; accretion through out; tested with UV light shows no inpainting or retouching throughout.
