C. Franco Oil Painting on Panel of European Village Scene
Item Details
A late 20th-century oil painting on panel by artist C. Franco. The piece depicts an Eastern European village landscape scene, with figures walking and working in a cobblestone courtyard, surrounded by large brick buildings and a distant church spire. The work is signed ‘C. Franco’ in black paint to the lower left. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame with brass tone moulded floral embellishments, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- slight surface wear and toning to image; minor edge wear, nicks and scuffing to frame; punctures to frame’s backing paper.
