A watercolor painting on paper. This piece, painted using light washes of color to produce a dreamlike effect, depicts a woman seated with her head resting on one arm over the back of her chair. She wears a pale blue dress and a pensive expression. The piece is signed in pencil to the lower left and appears to read ‘Cipolla’. It is presented behind an orange mat and glass in a gold tone frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- scratches present to lower left and upper right corners of frame; accretion present to surface of glass.
